Lane’s eclectic traditional interiors reflect her East coast upbringing and her love of Los Angeles’ casual living lifestyle. Fresh, fun and comfortable are the prerequisites for Lane’s tastefully designed rooms. Her use of color, unique vintage pieces and whimsical mixing of pattern combine to create her modern take on tradition. This upbeat mix has Angelenos watching this new face on the design scene. The New Jersey native studied art at Pratt Institute where she received her BFA with honors. Lane’s first job after college at W Magazine started her on her journalism career where she spent the next decade covering lifestyle, fashion and entertainment for numerous magazines. After helping friends decorate their homes over the years, Lane lucked upon a dream job assisting the respected interior designer, Jackie Terrell. In 2006 Lane launched her own residential design firm, Carla Lane Interiors. With projects ranging from an actresses Hollywood HIlls pied-a-terre to a newlywed’s Pacific Palisades traditional, Lane brings the personal attention of her small firm to each client’s home insuring an enjoyable and easy process. carla lane interiors carla lane & kibble
